The latest news in fashion and shopping around Charleston

Dive In!
We can finally get a peek inside The Skinny Dip—a second location for the Nantucket-born retail concept—on April 1. On the ground floor, cofounders Sara Rossi and Taylor Ivey showcase their own fashion brands, Beau & Ro Bag Company and Ellsworth and Ivey, alongside laid-back women’s and men’s duds. ”The Living Room” on the second floor is an interior lifestyle space that features a ”Local Vibes” section devoted to Charleston-made goods, plus a coffee and wine bar operated by Rudi’s Caffe e Vino. There’s even a patio for alfresco sipping. An April 9 opening celebration is the first of many events ranging from yoga to jewelry-making workshops. [345 King St., skinnydipcharleston.com]

Pop Stars
It was mid-February, and One Love designer Rachel Gordon (who’s now expanded beyond bridal gowns), had just returned to town again after months of travel. ”I felt a wave of inspiration combined with a yearning to reconnect with my community,” she says. Gordon began to reach out to artist pals, and in March, the One Love Collective + PopUp Shop was born in her King Street studio. Daily through April 30 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.), 11 creatives display their wares—find bathing suits by Sati Swim, jewelry from Foxy Fossils, women’s wear by Out of Squares designer Andrea Kern, art by photographer Gregg Lambton-Carr, and much more. Great Jeans
Slimming silhouettes, comfy fabrics, and a vast array of colors and styles: that’s what you can expect from Beija-Flor Jeans, opening in Freshfields Village this month. Mother and daughter Kathy Moça and Emilie Whitaker already operate a flagship store in Greenville, purveying not only pants (from skinny to bootcut, high-rise to cropped), but also blouses and tops made from eco-friendly fabrics. On the Haus
Have a soft spot for modern Scandinavian style? Then prepare to melt when you step inside Hausful, which Becky Seel Hoppmann opened last month in West Ashley. The budget-friendly selection of furniture, rugs, lighting, and housewares (think Marimekko pillows, Kinto Slow Coffee Style accoutrements, and Icelandic sheep skins) is particularly well-suited to small spaces, and interior design and registry services are available.
