Let’s be honest, Fleet Landing could serve reconstituted cardboard with their supreme location and super-sharp Reggie Gibson design and still make a killing. (After all, they are one of two peninsula restaurants on the water and the only one with open-air decks and outside dining.) But wow, they do everything but dial it in. With peel ’n’ eat shrimp, a chilled flank steak salad, fried seafood platters, and a swell Southern tower of fried green tomatoes with crab salad, they deliver great eats and then some.186 Concord St., (843) 722-8100, www.fleetlanding.net
