The Party: For the third year, event founder Rick Tringali and his family bring a taste of New Orleans to the Lowcountry during this music-fueled bar crawl for charity. Each year, the organization works with local music schools and programs to aid promising students. This year, eight exceptional students from the Allegro Charter School of Music will receive instruments purchased with event proceeds. At Bay Street Biergarten, the Krewe—king, queen, maidens, and dukes—were crowned by a random drawing of glitter-coasted roses. Led by a brass band, including renowned trumpet player and Charleston native Cameron Handel, guests paraded to Republic Garden & Lounge, and then to the final stop, Prohibition. At the last destination, people enjoyed a buffet-style NOLA cuisine including jambalaya and red beans and rice to the sounds of the jazz band.
