The Party: Rain brought this annual culinary street fair, typically held on Meeting Street, into the Gibbes Museum of Art’s Lenhardt Garden, where delectable small plates prepared by chefs helming some of Charleston’s top restaurants were on offer. Bites ranged from a rich ricotta gnocchi alla bolognese prepared by chef Mike Lata of FIG and The Ordinary to Charleston Grill’s offering of delicate flounder ceviche, complemented by cocktails from BreakThru Beverage. Part of the Gibbes’s annual weeklong visual arts festival, Art Charleston, the evening also featured live music from local band The Secret Ingredients. Since 2010, the Street Party has raised more than $700,000 to support educational programming at the museum.
