The Party: Hosted by NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin, Hootie & the Blowfish guitarist Mark Bryan, and Student Transportation Inc. CEO Denis Gallagher, this year’s Pro Am Jam was nothing short of a smashing success. The event, now in its seventh year, has raised more than one million dollars in previous years, with proceeds split across the hosts’ three local charities, supporting Cystic Fibrosis research, after school music programs, and scholarship funds. Prior to Tuesday’s golf tournament, the Monday night VIP party invited guests to mingle and enjoy libations on the lawn at the Daniel Island Club. Inside, the ballroom was bustling with different food stations offering the likes of mini sliders, fish and chips, and “tot-chos” (think tater tots with DIY nacho-style toppings), as well as a plethora of covetable items up for bidding in the silent auction. Rounding out the night, the three hosts took to the stage to share with guests about the work of their respective charities, before the real party started with the annual jam concert.
The Highlight: The evening’s main event, a rocking concert led by Mark Bryan and friends from across the music industry, including members of bands Chicago, The Who, and more
