Q Why are tassel earrings so popular?
A They’re fun to wear! And because I produce everything directly with artisans in Shanghai, mine look and feel more expensive than they are.

Q Name your biggest career moment.
A Seeing my earrings in Oprah magazine’s January 2018 issue made me cry.  

Q Have Valentine’s Day plans?
A I’d like to stay at home, cook a decadent meal for my boyfriend, and listen to records—anything by The War on Drugs or Arthur Russell’s That’s Us/Wild Combination, which is positively dreamy.

Q What are you coveting for your spring wardrobe?
A I’m about to invest in some comfortable block-heel “Jardin” sandals by Marais USA. I walk every day from my apartment to my studio on Broad Street, so I want to be practical yet polished.

A Painter Raven Roxanne, who exudes creativity and kindness

Q How do you enjoy your off hours?
A A perfect day off includes a walk on Sullivan’s Island, dinner at The Obstinate Daughter (above), and ice cream at Beardcat’s. 

Q Describe your personal style.
A Relaxed yet always a little sexy; wannabe French girl. A couple of my wardrobe obsessions right now are fitted vintage Levi’s by Re/Done, my bohemian-luxe “Shanghai Jacket” by Hart, and Golden Goose low-top sneakers.
