80 Muze offers clean and sophisticated fragrances made from natural oils
The model and 80 Muze founder developed her passion for perfume from her memo-ries of beautiful bottles displayed on her mother’s dresser. She launched her own line in November 2021, after noticing a gap in the market for clean fragrances and working for a year to craft her signature scents from natural oils—the citrus floral No. 17 and the muskier, seductive No. 16. Scott is planning to introduce candles and is scent-testing a third fragrance, which she hopes to debut early next year.
Q Are there any fall trends you‘re looking forward to incorporating into your wardrobe?
A I’m always on the lookout for pieces that combine classic elegance with practicality. I choose neutral shades that pair with everything. Letting one or two trends shine while backing them up with basic staples is generally how I update my wardrobe. This season, I’m in the market for a camel trench coat. I’ve had my eye on one by Khaite with classic elements of epaulets, storm flaps, and a buckle belt (above). It’s beautiful.
Q Are there any items in your makeup bag that you can’t live without?
A My 80 Muze travel-size cylinders! I keep one in my purse, car, pocket, gym bag—you name it. I use it throughout the day for an instant refresh. Game changer!
Q What’s a luxury item that you’re saving up for?
A I’ve had my eye on a custom-made Jahde “Council Belt” bag (above) for a while. I love the idea of an exotic black leather and navy combo. Might be a birthday present to myself this year!
Q How do you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall?
A Layering, for me, is key to creating a seamless transition. I love lightweight knits, cozy cardigans, and soft sweaters that can be worn over summer pieces. I also love my linen dress from Vincent James (above) all year-round, but I particularly enjoy layering it in the fall!
Q Tell us about your skin-care routine.
A I keep my ritual simple but effective. Morning and night, I use a gentle cleansing bar from Ayuna, available at Out of Hand (above), followed with my Odièle rose serum. This oil is amazing, developed by my friend and makeup artist Marie Josee. It’s the ultimate multitasker for the girl on the go. Every single Odièle product is handcrafted in micro-batches and loaded with vitamins and minerals; highly recommended. The ladies at The Look & Co. in Mount Pleasant also keep my skin in check year-round.
