What’s happening this month

Tip: Amaryllis bulbs are a favorite for forcing indoors—and then planting outside—but this season, skip the everyday red variety. The Garden Club of Charleston’s Fall Flower Power fundraiser is selling a rainbow of options until November 29 (thegardenclubofcharleston.org). For example, try ‘Apple Blossom’ (above), an easy-grower that’ll stand out in spring landscapes and floral displays.
