A portrait of the Holy City’s rapidly changing landscape, ”Vanishing Charleston” features the work of eight artists as they observe the transformation. The paintings depict Charleston’s urban neighborhoods at different points over the city’s history, with some showing buildings that no longer exist. A meditation on the area’s exponential growth, the Gibbes’s latest exhibition will provoke thought and conversation. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Sunday, 1-5pm; Tuesday & Thursday-Saturday, 10am-5pm; Wednesday, 10am-8pm. $15-$6. (843)722-2706, www.gibbesmuseum.org
