Spanish Dreams

The Charleston Community Band invites the community to celebrate its 40th year sharing music with the Holy City. This free Latin American concert promises the vivid, evocative, passionate sounds of the genre, including the US premiere of Ferrer Ferran's La Veude la Trompeta, featuring solo trumpetist Antonio Marti, principal trumpet of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Born in Valencia, Spain, Marti has played first trumpet for other international orchestras such as the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, La Laguna Chamber Orchestra, the Wind Ensemble of Tenerife, and the New York Chamber Orchestra.
