Log on for Cook With Me TV’s live-stream cooking show

This week, why not make a date with a dietitian? It’ll be free, and in your own kitchen, and not a soul will know if you’re in your pajamas. Cook With Me TV serves up 30- to 45-minute live-stream cooking shows on Facebook; each guides viewers in making a nutritious dish ranging from roasted delicata squash and cranberry chicken over greens to ”good gut smoothies.”

Local Ashley Thomas—a registered dietitian with a masters in nutrition from Florida State University—launched the show early this year as part of her business, The Fresh Beet Nutrition. “It’s a way to open traditional cooking classes up to the masses,” she explains.

Thomas posts the weekly schedule at cookwithme.tv; with one click, you can add the recipes to an interactive shopping list. Four dietitians currently offer lunch and dinner classes Monday through Thursday, including those focused on eating well for diabetes and for pregnancy. Can’t catch them live? They’re all archived at facebook.com/cookwithmetv.

“Ultimately, I want to create a network of dietitians with their own cooking channels that viewers can watch and learn from live and on-demand,” says Thomas.
