“ELISA HARKINS: TEACH ME A SONG”

By asking collaborators to “teach her a song,” this Halsey Institute exhibition presents Native American artist and composer Elisa Harkin’s ongoing project, started in 2021, in its entirety for the first time. Building on her interests in language preservation and Indigenous musicology, Harkins hopes to promote the sharing and trading of musical traditions.
